Description:
Abstract: This is one of the CPC’s Monthly Atmospheric and SST Indices. It contains standardized sea level pressure anomalies over the equatorial eastern Pacific region (5N-5S, 80W-130W) during 1949-present. The anomalies are departures from the 1981-2010 base period means.
Purpose: This index is constructed for applications in climate monitoring, climate analysis and verifications of numerical models.
