Description:
Abstract: The record event report (RER) is issued on an as-needed basis when a record weather event occurs. The RER provides a summary of a meteorological or hydrological event that equals or exceeds an existing maximum and minimum extreme records. Examples of record weather events include: maximum/minimum temperature extreme, highest/lowest sea level pressure, largest hail size, most/least precipitation/snowfall/snowdepth for a given calendar day, 24-hour period, storm total, or greatest snow depth.
Purpose: the purpose of this product is to relay information to the public when an extreme record weather event occurs.
