The sidebar shows the layers list and the results once a selection is made. It can be collapsed allowing the entire page to be viewed at once.
The layers tab shows groups of similar datasets which are displayed on the map.
Click to the tools icon to see the toolbar for each respective layer. Different layers have different tools.
Click the options icon for options such as opacity, data status, and other layer options.
The results are shown on this tab once a selection is made on the map or options are set.
Click on the graph icon to view graph data from the map. Not available on all maps.
Click on the download icon to download data from a specific station or location.
Double-click on the map to zoom in or use the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in and out. Or click the "+" or "-" keys to zoom in and out.
Select different maps from the map finder by clicking or pressing the "M" key.
Click and hold the drag the visible map by clicking or pressing the "M" key to change to this tool.
Measure the distance between two points on the map. Either click the icon or press the "D" to measure the distance.
Click the search icon or press the "S" key to find locations on the map.
Click the icon or press the "L" key to show the color key for each map.
Click or press the "B" key to select different imagery on the map.
Print the currently selected map.
Click features on the map to display more information.
Click features to select a predefined area of the map.
Click and select a rectangular area of the map to see the results.
Click and select a rectangular area of the map to view results.
Click and drag on the map to draw a polygonal area to view results.
Click the icon, enter proximity selecting miles or kilometers. Click map to select point and radius.
